First Days in the Villa

We are in Dubai and have invaded the "villa"!  That is what we call our new home.  Deric has been living here since March and he is very happy to have his family here.  He is also happy to have more than a desk and a bed!  He now has piles of picture frames, pillows and greenery everywhere!

Our shipment came on Monday.  They took our 40 ft sea container and unloaded it into small loads.  It took 4 trips to get all our stuff..or should I say my stuff! hahaha....it was a pretty amazing process!  As the boxes came in there were people here unpacking them and throwing out the trash!  At the end of 1 day we were set up!  We ordered a traditional arabic dinner from a take-out place to end our day. It was delicious!  Arabic food is basically a lot of grilled meats, rice, salad and hummus with bread.  YUM!  I was also happy to learn that everyone here delivers!!!  Woooo-hooo!

I am having fun decorating and the kids are really enjoying their toys that they haven't seen in forever.  They are also loving the pool.  We have never had one before and Luke just won't get out!

So we have had some visitors....Movers, unpackers, food deliverers and a BAT!  There was a little bat glued to the girls bedroom window day 1.....Check out the pictures!
