Holy Boracay!

A few weeks ago we ventured off for Spring Break to the beautiful island

of Boracay, Philippines.  

All it took to get there was a 3.5 hour flight.

1 bus ride on a winding, twisting, turning, slightly

dangerous 2 lane highway.

1 short boat ride on the boat shown below:

And 1 more bus ride to finally arrive here:

Holy Boracay!  The journey was well worth it!

A little alone time on the beach after getting the kids settled!

So excited for the morning!

Good Morning Boracay!  We spent day 1 in awe of the beach.

There was no need to really do anything else!

Delia is from the Philippines so she was super excited

to be in her own country!

Luke bought this little hand carved plaque of the Holy Family...

Luke makes his First Holy Communion in less than a month!

Blake was fascinated by the beach-sand-fluffer-thing...she had
to give it a try.

Day 2..off for some water sports...

Daddy got her this new hat to fix that! Ha!

We bumped into Mary on our way back to the hotel!

Luke is enjoying himself.

Day 3 Luke and Deric left at 5am to do some fishing.

There were no fishing poles...just some string and a hook!

A little restaurant on the beach turned their catch into lunch!

I was fascinated by these kids on the beach building these sand sculptures!
Yes, kids!!!

Of course we had to hire them to do one for us!

This is the sweet crew that made our sculpture.


Deric thought he'd make one for Lilly...

Delia made Lilly a pet shop swimming pool!

Our last day we headed out for some snorkeling and sunset watching.

I stayed in the boat and counted snorkels.

Hurry back to the boat!  Gotta catch that sunset!
