Sweaty, Scary but FUN

I know, I know.  You are missing the holidays.

The Christmas tree is down, the valentine card-candy-carnage has been
secretly thrown away while kids are at school.

Here in Singapore, the lion dancers and their LOUD drums have
even quieted after Chinese New Year.  It's too quiet...you are probably feeling bored.

It's your lucky day.

I saved our Singapore Halloween so I could entertain you after the holiday buzz was gone!

Okay, not really.  I am shamefully behind on my blog posts.

Once again pretend.  Pretend its October!

Halloween 2012....A Tootsie Roll, a crazy Miss America, an army dude
and a wee little Tinker Bell...with light up wings.  DO NOT forget the light up wings.
I am not sure why but it seems like our overseas Halloweens seem to go on and on and on.

Celebration #1 was trick-or-treating at our home Four Seasons Park.

Elevators and tricks-or-treats.....Interesting and sweaty combo.

Heading down to parade around the pool.

They light up y'all.
Luke and his downstairs dudes.
The costumes were FANTASTIC!!!!

Parade around the pool time.

These sweets are ready for treats!
Stop with the cuteness...

Waiting for the first tricksters at our AWARD WINNING DOOR....
Yeah.  Thats right...award winner.
Halloween tunes playing....Daddy waiting with the goods.

First group up!

Blake took Lilly for treats and she lasted about 5 minutes.
Here Blake is "returning" her to me.

Lilly says trick or treating is "scary and sweaty".
Done.

She was more interested in the prize we won for our door.
Army dude done not long after Tink.
(Note to self...buy less sweaty costume for next year.)
And Halloween keeps on going!  School celebrations!
Luke and I made these treats for his class.
Thank you Pinterest!
Creative moms!
This little sweetie was a stack of pancakes!  How cute is that!

Super cool first grade army dudes!  USA!  USA!

Its just not Halloween without the mummy wrap.
Luke's pumpkin.  I just love kid artwork!

The 5th grade celebrated Halloween with a Just Dance Off....
So fun to watch the kids....these games are just amazing!
Blake's class had a cupcake decorating contest and guess who won?
Blake Bryant that's who!  And the prize was a PUMPKIN!!!!  This was exciting!
Pumpkins in Singapore only cost about 1 million dollars.

Olivia's class planned their entire Halloween party on their own!
No parents involved.  Here Olivia is leading the class in a game.
Ewwwwwwwww!

Lilly's precious little school had a party too...She did a costume change
for this celebration.

THIS IS OUR LITTLE WALK TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY
...JUST LOVE IT.

Blake went to a little party in the apartment..5th graders only thank you.
She did a costume change too.  Wore last years witch costume.

Trick or Treat round 2.  Off to The Woodlands for some more tricks or
treats on actual Halloween night. The Woodlands is the neighborhood by the school.
Remember we almost lived there?
Trick or treating in The Woodlands is something one MUST experience when living in Singapore.
So we were told....we had to see for ourselves!  It was insane!

Lilly liked this form of trick-or-treating MUCH better than "scary sweaty" elevator style.

off they go...into the wild abyss
(you'll see what I mean)

Look who we ran into!  The Hammers!
Dubai friends are in the house!

The streets of The Woodlands slowly got more and more crowded.
Legend has it that people come from all over Singapore and Malaysia to
trick or treat here!  I think it is true.

Zipper face was a popular costume this year.
It skeered me.  And Luke.
Oh yes he was a hammer head shark.

Back to the city...

I think she's done.  So is this post.
Cheers from Singapore!
